2021 - Gardens of the Sun & Moon

This piece was created for a collaborative project for the Town of Cary's 150th Anniversary Celebration. Serving as the art director and contributing artist on the project, my task was to create a sense of wonder, amazement, and joy for a family audience in place of a firework show for the finale of clients event. My segment 'Gardens of the Sun and Moon'  was the opening piece of the 15 minute curated showcase. The animation symbolizes a transition from day to night and was designed utlizing the architecture to create the illusion of the building overgrowing into canvas. 

This project was a collaborative process where we experiemented with photoscanning and Unreal Engine to create full scale 3D mockups of the building and projector layout. This allowed the contributing artists to collaborate and mockup their artwork remotely in the months before the installation.
